Blimey, I thought this myth had been put to bed (pardon the pun) years ago. Having sex *during *sporting activities may affect your perfomance - particulary in the case of pole vaulters - but the night before or on the morning of the event will have no effect on performance. Certainly never hurt my footballing prowress. But then again, I never made it to the proffesional ranks so just maybe.......

Must be an interesting place to work...

I thought Joe Namath settled that when he led the NY Jets to a win over the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III.

Great. I've been giving it up all these years for no reason.

Have you ever had sex all night long, then stroll into the office in the morning and try to concentrate ... let alone keep the brain in proper working order? Wonder if they do that in those labs, too? Or do they just go for the short-time sexual experience and see what happens to the human body after that?

I think a long al-night sexual encounter will not only affect your best athlete, but also your best office worker the following day.

A short-time sexual go with adquate rest following it should not affect either the sportsperson or the office worker.

If I remember correctly, Joe Namath didn't do the all night stuff, but the quickie ... which, according to him, released all kinds of stress. Too bad sex didn't help his battered knees ...

Giving up sex?? That's like giving up eating, sleeping or drinking. It's a natural thing we all do everyday.
