Talking to the TV is usually a sign of extreme agitation, mental instability or loneliness.

How about screaming and throwing objects at the TV? I do it a lot, especially when watching anything connected with American politics.

Reminds me of the" ALL home appliances will be connected to the internet" hype. We don't need this. A PC/Laptop/Pad/smartphone can do this already and A LOT FASTER.

    Agree with cactusJack.

Yes, technology is growing at a very fast pace ... but just because smartphones are the latest trend doesn't mean that we have to have all household gadgets or even office equipment to have the same functions.

Why should we put apps into a TV set?

Same with the "4K" resolution. Is there any practical reason to be putting this technology into a TV set, aside from the "because we can" attitude?

    Sez you.

Screaming at the tv is therapy, as is screaming at a live ball game.

I don't want or need my tv to "understand".

    That's what friends are for.
