10 workers exposed to radiation at Fukushima nuclear plant

I think all of us know that it is common for fukushima plant workers to be exposed to the radiation.....

Will the government or some international agency/experts please take over this catastrophe, please?

The last paragraph is too repetitive. Do we really need to be reminded every time the truth about TEPCOs real activities are reported? Actually, it should read, due to neglect and failure to follow international safety regulations, ......

Stupid title of the year.

All workers at Fukushima 1 are exposed to radiation.

As the crisis mounts, TEPCO and the Abe government are clueless as to what is really going on at Fukushima Daiichi.

The damaged cores of these reactors are leaching cesium 137, strontium 90 and other radioactive contaminants into the Pacific Ocean. The natural currents are driving this contamination up north and it will begin to show up, as debris from 3/11 already has, in Canada and the West Coast of the U.S.A. TEPCO's installation of a temporary wall between the reactor and the ocean became a dam that has now been breached and is overflowing.

This is happening RIGHT NOW!

You would think that a national emergency would be called and an all hands to clean up the situation immediately. But the Abe Government is just as clueless and do-less as TEPCO. All parties concerned blame the other, TEPCO, the NRA, METI and NO ONE is taking any responsibility for the situation.

Clearly NONE of the above is capable of handling it.

It's time to call in outside help.

Call in people who know what they are doing.

And then prevent the problem from recurring by a) phasing in a renewable energy source that is compatible with Japan's seismic situation and b) REALLY cutting down on wasted energy.

Radioactive dust. What happened to their hazmat suites?

I just can't say enough about how beautiful japan is, I'm so sorry the people have been taken advantage of so bad and still are. the few well connected and the rich have already left or are about too, Mark my word, It is going to be a wasteland before it is said and done. Notice the 10.5 trillion dollar debt? thats the rich loading their suitcases for retirement in southern france and points warmer, i love fact checking, good luck people.

Mind ya folks, this is the same exact one they want to make a tourist attraction. TEPCO: we don't care about you the environment, just as long as we make money.

Japan unveiled its biggest warship since World War II on Tuesday, a $1.2 billion helicopter carrier...I wonder if the displaced, still homeless and jobless victims of Fukushima are celebrating...

Faces and hair? Tepco are not even providing protection suits for these guys!?

And no doubt when these guys develop lung and throat cancer (if it was dust and got all over their faces and hair, then they breathed it in!) a little while down the road it will be 'unrelated'.

To TEPCO, "small amounts of radiation" is more or less equivalent to bathing in it. Just look at how they've considered the contaminated water issue over the past 2 years.

I love how these stories always let us know that workers were exposed to a "small" amount of radiation and just "a little" water got contaminated or there was "some" exposure. Why bother being clear or honest when no one believes you anyway, right?
