He looked in bad shape on the news last night. Came across as a special interruption. The medics were doing as best as they could, but it was futile.

RIP, Mr. Miyazaki. You died helping others, which deserves the utmost respect. If there is ANY good to come of this it is that the anger will not just come from local protestors but hopefully from the Japanese and other governments, and the Turkish authorities will be forced to act on what they should have previously -- namely making damaged buildlings and areas off limits.

RIP Miyazaki-San. There is no more heroic way to go out than dying just trying to help others. As Smith says, lets hope the Turkish govt. tries to bring their nation up to first world safety standards - would not hold my breath though.

Turkey, like Japan has had big quakes for thousands of years but unlike Japan, they use way too much concrete in making homes, hotels etc..hence in Turkey even quakes that are not that big kill too many people, here in Japan, a house etc..is mostly wood, not too heavy, but look at those buildings over there in Turkey and it is no wonder so many died and will die, Japan needs to help them learn to construct safer homes, buildings etc in Turkey, but that said, Miyazaki san, you have died a national HERO!! Banzai!!

This is really sad. RIP Miyazaki san.

It is true that Turkey has many earthquakes but they also have great technologies nowadays which haven't reached the far East of the country yet.

Many countries have yet to imitate what was done by Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to make the biggest earthquake proof building design in the world by ARUP. The whole building can actually swing 2 meters. Also, traditional Turkish houses were constructed in a very similar manner than the Japanese houses. Many of them unfortunately disappeared with the concrete boom 50 years ago. They are however seeing a come back nowadays.

RIP Miyazaki san and big thanks again to all those Turkish people: the owner, the chefs, and other volunteers of a Turkish restaurant "Resat" in Ikebukuro for offering hot meals for 1000 + evacuees in Ishinomaki, Miyagi right after 3.11 earthquake/tsunami.

Miyazaki san you are HERO.I am from Azerbaijan and i am also turk.We Turkish people are grateful to you and Japan for help and kind heart. I love Japan and believe that we have to learn a lot from you. And I really angry to turkish government workers to let the injured buildings to accept guests.I hope one day Turkey will learn to work and fulfill their responsibilities as required. RIP MIYAZAKI SAN.
