Two men were killed and three other men injured after a minivan collided head-on with a car on a highway in Fukushima on Wednesday morning.
According to police, the accident occurred at around 6:40 a.m. on National Route 115, Fuji TV reported. Police quoted witnesses as saying that the collision took place near a curve and that the minivan had just passed a car when it drifted over the center line and crashed into the oncoming car.
Police said the driver of the minivan was killed, along with the driver of the car. A second man in the minivan is in a coma, while two other male passengers who were in the minivan sustained light injuries.

I've driven on the Eastern side of that road on numerous occasions and didn't notice it to be any quieter/busier than most country roads in Japan, especially at that time of the morning.
Not sure what Zichi's first hand experience of the area but suffice to say it's a windy road that needs a lot of care and attention on it.
