There are many myths about Lake Inawashiro, because its very deep, they say many people have died there. Once you go a few metres below, it becomes icy cold, difficult to breathe, and then easy to drown. So many people believe there are many dead bodies at the bottom of this lake.....

Im interested to know how the bodies were found, with a life jacket? on the shore?

Well, bodies will usually refloat to the surface after a few days once gases swell them up. Hmm, I wonder how deep it needs to be before the depth counters even that bouyancy?

They all were wearing life jacket, so how did they die? The article said "a jet ski". Maybe they all fell off during high speed run and were knocked unconcious?

Um, they were wearing life jackets. - This is a weird one. I saw it on the TV news this morning. Nice jet-ski too. It had a tow pole fitted and ready for a bit of tow-in surfing. Hypothermia is a possibility if they got separated from the craft, but they have a kill switch so the engine stops if you come off, so it would not have been far away. My personal hypothesis is, the goose was hooning it up and they all came off at 60-70mph. That's dead!

Have to wait for the autopsies. I'd say suicide would be ruled out because they're all wearing life jackets (at least suicide by drowning is ruled-out). Maybe they were asphyxiated by a whale fart.

I wonder if the headline for this should be changed from "3 Bodies Found in Lake Inawashiro" to "3 Bodies RECOVERED from Lake Inawashiro." The former implies something like a trio of murder victims, while the latter is closer to the essence of the article, which is that these people were the victims of an unexpected and tragic accident.
