"Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has vowed no compromise on sovereignty of the islands..."

Well then there's no 'dispute', is there? And China is obviously not compromising, so no dispute for them, either. Neither nation has a dispute in this... erm... non-dispute. So long as that continues, there will never be any dispute, I guess.

How many Coastguard ship s have patrolling in Senkaku Islands’ water? Japanese Government must send more Coastguard patrol ships to Senkaku Islands' water. Communist Chinese Government will not reduce stalking on Japan because it is vital survival strategy for future of Communist party and Communist leaders. Majority of Chinese peoples will look for more freedom in social life and freedom from Communist Government controlling their lives. Communist Leaders knew it and they must prevent from Chinese young generation yearling for freedom by anti-Japan propaganda. Taiwan, S.Korea. Japan and its neighboring countries will face more provocation and stalking from Communist Chinese Government. The more money Communist Chinese Government has the more territorial dispute with its neighbors to come. You can not stop Communist leader’s behavior because everything they decide is right for them.

Japanese Government needs to prepare ready for everything unprovoked action from Communist China. Predicting Communist Chinese leaders is harder than predicting weather.

Lot of anti China here are very good at predicting China, you going against the flow. 1) China will back off , they predict when it first announce the ADIZ, since big brother US are with them. 2) No airlines will comply.

Lot of fortune tellers here, the only way to solve this is sit down and talk, using threats and ganging up will never work.

China is keen on growing economy, not war.

cheers

Japan needs to build on those islands like last year.

China is keen on growing it's economy as well as expanding it's military power and territory. As it's economy grows the volume of trade carried on Chinese and Chinese controlled ships increases. Currently the world's commercial seaways are protected by the US Navy, a concept that doesn't sit well with the PLA Navy.Creating very wide ADIZs is another way of expanding control over such areas.

If ABE thinks hiding under the Apron of Washington will work, well it won't. Have a look at the MAP and SEE WHERE THE ISLANDS ARE. Japan is nowhere near them. They are just outside China. Washington should be patrolling their Waters. Washingtons Waters are off the Coast of California New York Florida New York etc. NOT the entire world. They are provoking things that could get worse and worse. China will not back down from a fight. Mr Abe have you seen Chinese War 'Games"?? I have. They are ferocious. What is Washington going to do?? Launch a Nuke? As soon as one is loaded its game over for the entire Planet. A domino effect of several hundred Nukes will wipe out the entire Planet. Washington is behind all of the Provocation spurring on their Poodle Abe who has become a decent War Monger.

gsgsgs oh nonsense Japan is much closer. Ishigaki is 170 km vs 305 km for the PRC. Okinawa Prefecture is part of Japan. The USA has no need to use atomic weapons. No matter how you say it the truth is these islands are part of Okinawa which is part of Japan. If the PRC gets away with this they will interfere with ship and aircraft traffic from Okinawa. The people of Okinawa have noted this hostile move from PRC. It is not how you win friends. In fact most Chinese hate the people of Okinawa. Get this there will be no war unless the Peoples Republic fires the first shot.

China wont fight a war by japan

Watch closely as soon china will be landing people officially on the islands and will start some construction of some type.

If Japan does not physically take possession ( put people on the island ) they will lose them, the old possession is 9/10s of the law will fall into place, and it'll be impossible to move the Chinese off them with out 100% being accused by china of starting war.

Put boots on the ground before the Chinese do I advise you extremely strongly GET MOVING now.

Japan needs to occupy their Senkaku territory now to prevent the Chinese from stealing them.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

There is no reason to talk with an invader, which China is trying to be.

The Senkakus have little value themselves but they are territory of Japan. Period. Therefore whatever Japan decides to do with and about them is their right, and the world supports that. China is just way way out of touch with reality and their propaganda has affected their own view of things. That is the danger of a closed circle state, it cannot actually understand the reality outside of its own projected fantasy.

There is no need to take extreme measures. No way will the world allow China to do another Tibet here. We are now aware of how far they will go if not stopped cold in their tracks and it is happening now. This is actually giving the other Pacific nations the courage and the strength to stand up along with Japan as South Korea is doing and the Philipines will soon do also...along with the US.

"China is keen on growing economy, not war"

Oh good that means they are interested in dropping their one child policy-you cant grow an economy with a shrinking population. So . Does Japan and America agree that a growing a population is healthy to this situation-I mean they could do the same too right? Where is the populous at? I reckon China's populous would be the quickest to take that up-Japan and America are too infatuated with pride to jump aboard that love-machine :) So is that the thang happening here? Obama' likes/endorses Planned Parenting-maybe he likes China the way it is now? Where does Japan sit then? The "wa" Japan would be like China- but if Japan is poodle like, I kinda think theyd prefer hairdressing.....Yeah Japan needs to frizz that haircut and and get on land. Test how big their bark is.

Abe is a nitwit. China is upping the ante because the Japanese government refuses to negotiate over the islands sovereignty. Im sure a mutually satisfactory solution can be found if both sides are willing to meet halfway

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

There is no issue to negotiate and no dispute. China needs to accept the fact that they cannot bully or push around all the other nations in the Pacific just because they want to assert their self image of power. Japan OWNS the islands they ARE JAPANESE. period. end of story.

China has a huge country of its own and can do just fine with what it has. All of the talk about Japan being in the wrong or being aggressive is just amazingly bizarre. China apparently thinks that if it keeps repeating the same illusions and fantasies that they may become real.

The sooner they return to some form of being reasonable and stop bothering their neighbors the better it will be for everyone around the Pacific region.

There IS an rather big issue to negotiate. It dates back to the San Francisco peace treaty of 1951, to which China wasnt even invited to attend. Japan doesnt OWN the islets legally. They only own them due to the government nationalising them last year. Japan apparently thinks if it keeps repeating the same illusions and fantasies that they may become real.

The sooner they return to some form of being reasonable and stop bothering their neighbours the better it will be for everyone around the Pacific region.
