The bodies of three family members were found in a house in Gifu city on Thursday. Police said they were Shori Takeuchi, 73, his wife Yumiko, 71, and their 43-year-old son Toshikazu, Fuji TV reported.
The bodies were found at around 3 p.m. after a city worker in charge of nursing-care insurance reported to the police that the doors of the home were locked and there were no signs of activity inside.
Police said the bodies of Takeuchi and his wife were decaying, while their son appears to have died about a week ago. Police said it is likely the three died of either illness or starvation.
The owner of the house said that the rent has been unpaid since July.

I'm surprised it took him this long to do anything!

How about a little sympathy for these people? Dying at home of illness or starvation is not a nice way to go. RIP

Starvation or illness? Are you serious? How about murder, murder-suicide or mass-suicide?

The parents are decaying, but he recently died? How do they know he didn't kill his parents?

What a bleak story.
