On the subject of getting stuck under a bicycle, I once came across a kid lying on the ground mostly under his bike in the middle of a quiet backstreet. His leg was sticking up through the frame with the shin bent over one of the tubes. The positioning of his shin made it difficult to lift the bike from underneath and the positioning of the bike made it difficult to move his leg.

    (Yes, I did 'rescue' him.)

It just goes to show that kids have more abilities than they are often given credit for. We seem to intentally try to keep them ignorant these days, but they still surprise us every once in a while.

" These kids are out performing the Japanese police! "

I guess people like to blame the police for everything and everything, coffee not hot enough, the weather, must be the police faults too!

Any case, those mama chariots can weigh a ton, not including any of the items they are carrying with them. I don't know how other people may of reacted, maybe just stand there are call the fire department.

Super kids. The Emperor should honor them. At least all their rail travel all their life, first class, should be free. Bravo, well done! Heroes!!

Easy to see where the brains are in this society. It's a shame they will have their individual intellect extracted during junior and senior high. Good on ya kids!

Good stuff. I hope the kids get lots of Chocobee's from their parents and a lot of recognition.

    Great kids!

During the hanami season a drunken guy (too much hanami beer, I would guess) fell down on the tracks at my station. People helped him up while one salariman pushed the emergency button. I did not know there was one, so I started running towards the stairs to get the ticket salesman, but saw the salariman push the button and the train stopping.

Nice one kids. Just as well there were some elementary kids around. They are always so lovely, as opposed to teenagers, which are often pretty selfish and surly around the world. Anyway, I am impressed. I hope the japanese media makes a fuss about it so that it can encourage more people to take a look at themselves.
