The VERY BEST way to win a war is to win without firing a shot. Four planes landing at Kadena COULD be called a Feint.

Nothing more than a publicity stunt. The world expected a US response to NK's recent behavior, and here it is... Nothing more than a publicity stunt. If NK's recent behavior was an actual threat, spies would have picked it up before hand, and stealth fighters would have mysteriously arrived BEFORE NK actually tested those nukes and missiles...

Now, I will test the power of the Internet just in case the DPRK reads JT.

Assessing the geopolitical situation in the region, if the DPRK is commanded by a smart, pragmatic intelligentsia, they should go to the UNSC and speak to the Russian Ambassador that they will return to the 6party talks. No preconditions, but a willingness to continue a search out of the current impasse. In terms of military developments in the region, the DPRK has a cheap, "Saturday Night" used gun, while everyone else has AT LEAST a chaingun and rocket propelled grenades. The DPRK can only get the first shot off, then......

Some degree of parity is possible in the 6party talks and loose agreements can be worked on based on bilateral negotiations - keeping the ball in play is to the DPRK's advantage as well as to the other parties. The 6party talks can lead to a more secure environment in Northeast Asia and finally put the Cold War in the dustbin of history.

    Ciao.

What I always wondered is how most countries keep their armed forces trained without getting involved in wars every now and again.

    Correction:

"while everyone else HAVE AT LEAST a chaingun and rocket propelled grenades."

I really don't why Japan would be interested in hi tech planes when all >it takes is 7 strategically dropped hydrogen bombs and it's good bye >Japanese race?

The purpose of having hi-tech planes is to prevent or deter that from happening. Same as with all military assets.

My buddy in the army says that you just get trained over and over again to the point where you want to go out and kill someone just to get away from the training...heh.

This frustrates me. Its like they are expecting out of the blue some sort of attack on japan? is there something they arent telling us? if US fighters suddenly rocked up in australia i would be asking many many questions. one being "why the heck are they here!?". The other problem is they are american, they are ruthless son of a bitches and want any excuse for war cause thats what they are trained for so being a guard without the expectation of attack would be strange for america.

Call it what you want, but it is empty posturing with no meaning whatsoever. The NK leadership is not impressed by this.

the fighters are being deployed there becuase of rasing tension with north korea specially after they renounced the armistace truce so they are back at war offically

  • motytrah at 01:16 AM JST - 4th June

We're not going to attack NK. Know why? Because SK has most of it's people and almost all of it's industry less than 100 miles from the border with NK. There is no buffer between the two countries. Any attack on NK means SK takes huge damages in terms of population and industry.

Outside of China attacking NK (which will never happen), there's nothing that can be done outside hoping the next person to come to power will be sane.

  • jessssicaaa at 03:14 PM JST - 4th June

Delta i'll assume you were answering my post.

I say that because nk have been testing things that nobody agrees with yes. But nothing to make me atleast believe they are going to hurt anybody yet, seems like they are teasing japan and such. But with america coming over, it gives me the feeling they arent telling us everything. Or they are just being prepared. Cause turning up without an actual worded or something threat, with 100% meaning behind it and with those fighter jets. Theres something else going on. But if they are just doing it as a precausion, i want them to say it. I dont want another war.

If NK starts a war and worst of all bringing stupid america into it, i will somehow invent a machine to disarm all weapons!!! ALL!!! lol xD and if japan gets hurt.. no miss nice jess nomore.

    nightflash:

" We are also the most well trained military to ever walk the face of the Earth and no million man army can make a dent. "

...and you are also bankrupt. All that fancy hardware, all those salaries, everything, is paid for with money which your government borrows from others, mainly China and the oil Arabs. And your brilliant new government has just managed to quadruple the existing debt (which was huge already) in its first 100 days.

Once China stops buying your empty IOUs, what do you do then with all the toys?

    motytra:

" the next person to come to power will be sane. "

Who says the current leader is not sane? Threaten, get concessions, threaten more, get more concessions.... the game works very well for him. And the US government allows itself to be played like cheap fiddle.
