All joking aside...he was the only pilot on each flight, there was no co-pilot. If something happened to him - fainted, heart attack, etc, the flight attendants should have been prepared to take control of the aircraft. A twin prop aircraft would need all the help it can get, if it suddenly spun out of control or became too 'heavy' for one pilot to handle.
Even today's large aircraft, with all their modern equipment, always have two pilots with their hands on the column when making a turn.
He's of the masculine persuasion. Of course he likes his joy stick handled. But the captain should really wait until they are on the ground to exercise his privileges.
I wonder if the pilot complies with equal opportunity and allows the male flight attendents a turn at the column. "Come on benny it's your turn on the mechanical bull".
Bureau of the transport ministry and the bureau strictly instructed the airline to prevent the recurrence of a similar incident.
Like that is going to stop things like this from happening in the future.
I think a 'stiff' fine is more in order here to erect a new standard that pilots would aspire to.

This is a good idea. We should try it on buses, trains, and submarines.

I'm willing to let them study my control column too should the need arise.

Ms or Mrs could be the cause of so many "near miss" incidents in Japan Aviation !

He was getting them prepared for manipulating his joystick, methinks.

"The captain then encouraged the flight attendants to put their hands on 'his' control column..."

Perhaps he has a future in politics.
I am sure there are a few of his staff that would be only too happy to lend a hand and play for his erection.
