Give the battery contracts to Japan or S. Korea. Both countries can produce the best batteries in the world.

They probably need to cancel a lot farther in advance than Feb 1. Once the cause has been determined, it's going to take a while to design and manufacture a fix. The 787 isn't going anywhere with passengers until that happens.

the battery was made in japan, 30% of the plane is made in japan. a lot of japanese companies have a lot riding on this plane

Will this affect the ticket prices or bottle neck the system for other airlines? Now that those people will have to change plans and all.
