Someone needs to go out and bring the floating dock to port. Take it to dry dock and remove any "invasive" spices. It would be a lot easier than trying to do it on the beach.

One million to 2 million tons of debris remain in the ocean, but only about 5% of that could reach American and Canadian shorelines

Which basically computes as 50 to 100 thousand tons of debris, which is still a lot.

But what worries me more is the potential impact of the debris lost at sea, about all that garbage being broken down to smaller pieces, and sinking down to the bottom of the oceans ... a place we know very little about.
