Police are apparently on the lookout for a family of 4 from Saitama Prefecture called Nohara. Apparently the son was heard to tell his friends at (pre) school that he had some issues with this chap.

His expression on cartoon of hiking now we can not see and why he is gone alone? Without freinds how sad life is his?

Hopefully we will hear more about this man who deserves attention, as opposed to Sakai Noriko. The anime is soso, specifically the voice actor of Shinchan is quite terrible, but his manga was a funny yet biting commentary on family life in Japan.

I am seriously saddened over the apparent death of the creator of Crayon Shinchan.

    Shin-chan: ( upon returning home ) Okaeri!

    Misae: Tadaima deshou!

NHK news showed the mountain he fell off. It is a cliff like 200 or 300 meters high. There is dense brush and forrest, and it is hard to believe he could just have accidentally walked off.

The body will be recovered from the bottom of a steep cliff on Mt Arafune on Sunday to verify whether it is indeed Usui, 51

This use of "verify" irks me. They mean "determine."

    Defo suicide job.

  • chokoreitou at 04:41 PM JST - 21st September

I don't get why lots of people claims this is suicide. Why not just say good and encouragement words to those people who was left behind? I don't get why people thinks like this.

Anyways, this is a really sad news. He's one big lost in the cartoon/manga industry. Rest in peace.
