FUKUOKA —
The body of a woman in her late teens was found in a river in Akamura, Fukuoka Prefecture, on Tuesday afternoon, police said. A 58-year-old angler found the body which was floating between rocks around 3 p.m. and called police.
Police said the woman is 157 centimeters tall and wore a red jacket and mini-skirt over jeans. Her navel was pierced. Police said an autopsy showed that the woman had been dead for about three months.

poor angler! I'm an angler myself, and I would have trouble sleeping for a long while if I would discover a dead body floating around.

Interesting case. Body must have been kept frozen for the piercing to be able to hold on to the belly button. Must've been dumped into the river recently. Still, sad that no one had reported her missing.

agreed. Even after a couple of days need to go to dental records, since age/sex are unrecognizable. three months in the water? i doubt it.
