I'm a friend of nori's mom.And until now we can't still believe that he's gone. it's a sad thing that the boy is now dead and can't defend himself from the grave to contest all of the hurtful things being said about him.for one, he is not stupid. most of the boys in his class tries and jeers others to have eating contest with them.as any boy in japan would do, they have this principle "I am number 1.I won't lose" of which of course prompted him to meet the challenge.could it be possible that someone in that room told nori to eat that bread in 2 seconds? that's what eating contest here in japan is mostly shown on tv's plus the actors show on tv that they only swallow the food. i know they are professional but for children it's a watch and learn thing.monkey sees monkey do kind of thing. children are children but as adults we are the ones who knows to make the right decisions.yes, nori choked .a terrible death.for one there's not much liquid available in the room.can you imagine your own child choking out of breath but still running to the faucet just to drink?how much can you drink from a faucet from your hands?will it ease you?there was no nurse to attend to that child while choking.a school with no nurse?with children who are accident prone?they tried to make that child drink a hot soup.can you drink a hot soup when you choke?even if you are an adult?come on, the issue doesn't rest alone on this child's lack of wisdom.nori made a mistake to take that challenge from another boy.but it's not coming out in news.i wonder?to protect that child perhaps? i hope the boy who placed nori to choking isn't someone like the Henry Evans in The Good Son movie.from my understanding Nori died from a challenge , lack of proper first aid, lack of water supply for drinking .nobody has a right to tell Nori that he's stupid and a smug.he's still a baby for us.Nori's mom waited for years for him to come.i'm glad she has Jesus in her heart helping her overcome this.when Nori was alive and was asked by the doctor to diet himself to lose weight, Nori joined the sumo wrestling in school.but during the contest , he didn't had the heart to push his small opponent so he lost...once again Nori is a funny, witty and a healthy child. You might have a child too. And then you would feel what a parent would feel. you won't let people just say that he died out of stupidity...
oh come on - you KNOW the school and the principal are not coming clean on this issue. i know boys. they challenge each other and they don`t always know the risks. my feeling is that the teachers do not keep as watchful an eye as they should. they are too busy doing non-teaching crap.
sad to say the principal is lying about no competition happened.he puts all the blame on Nori.Nori eats very slow.problem is he won't back down when challenged .would those parents kids allow their kids to come out and tell what truly happened?also when Nori was still in hospital his parents were told that the school has no responsibility of the accident.that goes for all children 12 years old and below...why would a kid choke down a pitted bread? he broke the bread in half, pitted it to make it small then chowed down.his drink is only a 100ml milk with a straw...pls use your imagination.also the kids called Nori's mom about what happened in the rom.the principal wasn't there.weird thing ,accidents like this in japan, when the ambulance leave the school it is the principal who sits with the ambulance driver.but in Nori's case it was Nori's dad.so it took the ambulance to get to the school, and of course Nori's dad would take much longer to com to school since he was still sleeping when he answered the call.....it's hard to go against this school.but why not admit what had happened?it was the bullying and the jeering that pushed him(Nori) to prove himself?
This news is really a sad one. When the the student was choking to death he did all by himself in order to breathe. Running to the rest room and try drinking water using his hands to loosen up the bread that was stuck on his throat. They notified the Father that his son is choking to death and the father was the one who accompanied the son to the hospital. Then the principal is blaming the student that it was his fault that is why he choked to death. People commenting here sounded more like the principal's statement that it is the child's fault that's why he died. But if facts and truth are detailed here we'll have a picture on what happened on that fateful moment but we don't have any except that for 6 years the boy's mother accompanied his son to school, attended PTA meetings. There must be some compelling reasons why the school did not act immediately and even waited for one of the parents to arrive to bring the child to the hospital. And that allowed me to think of more
sensible reason why such behavior and treatment happened to that child. Is it because her Mom is a FILIPINA?
On the news, they said that he was clowning around and made like he was going to shove the whole thing in his mouth. The homeroom teacher told him to stop, and his friends were trying to stop him too, so he took a small bite, then ripped it in half, and shoved them both into his mouth.
There's a reason you listen to the teacher. Too many kids aren't doing that nowadays.
Your understanding of the news SAMMI is right, there is no doubt about it. What I want to tell you is a true story. The kid's Mom is a responsible, educated, a good citizen of Japan, a school teacher, loving, kindhearted, disciplinarian FILIPINA mother and the news never mentioned it. The upbringing of the child is in such a way that he was reared-up in a Christian home, not the Japanese way of bringing up a child. AGAIN, that allowed me to think of a more sensible reason why such behavior and treatment happened to that child and to his Mom. Is it because his Mom is a FILIPINA?
The kid's Mom is a .... FILIPINA mother and the news never mentioned it.
No reason why they should. His mother's nationality has nothing to do with the poor boy choking. If the news had mentioned it, you can be sure the regular suspects on JT would have been falling each other in their eagerness to point out that the news was only mentioning her nationality in an attempt to diss her parenting skills and make the point that haaf kids are less able to behave properly/eat bread or more likely to be bullied and forced to stuff food into their mouths (the lad wasn't forced).
AGAIN, that allowed me to think of a more sensible reason why such behavior and treatment happened to that child and to his Mom. Is it because his Mom is a FILIPINA?
What treatment? They tried to get the bread out, they called an ambulance. I can't find any mention in the vernacular press of the school waiting for the father to take the boy to hospital. The boy started choking around 12:45, the ambulance arrived at 1 o'clock. What 'treatment' are you saying happened to his Mom, and in what way does her nationality make it 'sensible'?
The news said... that is what the news said. They heard it from the teacher and principal of the school. The news said...the press recounted from other people's news who claimed they were present when it happened. For sure, the principal was not there when it happened. It was recounted to him by the homeroom teacher. This is a very very dangerous situation. You will never make statement that will make you the villain..a child died inside the school and you will never recount stories that will incriminate yourself. Why did I raise up the issue of nationality here? The case is still under investigation and every blaming fingers is pointed to the human who died, from the principal to the homeroom teacher. The children inside the classroom knew, all Japanese know, and I know that there is more here than a kid died because he choked to death, I don:t know if you know anything about bullying inside the school. I dont know if you are aware that it is happening in the school and sad to say, I know that it is a real thing. The principal was so calm when he was interviewed to say in front of the media and the kid's parents that it was the student's fault. For sure this experience is traumatic for the parents and I don't know why It wasn't for the people who should be the guardian of the students in school because they already decided that It was the child's fault that is why he died. The treatment that I 'm talking here is between the Principal and the Filipina mother. I wondered why it was so easy for him to face the mother and tell her that it was her child's fault. I hope that the investigation will continue to dig deeper to what really happened during the 6 years that the dead child
experienced when he was still alive. I'm not bringing this up to judge and subject to prosecution guilty parties but to avoid the re occurence of Kids dying because he was challenge to eat a bread without drinking water, jump a building, kill other students, or students bullied and becoming a juvenile delinquents. Please lets dig deeper and avoid this kind of incident from happening. And I'm glad to say what I want to say here. It's with this freedom that I can truly say what Voltaire of France said; I may not believe on what you say but I will defend to death your right to say it. and I respected what CLEO and all intelligentsia's are saying here. Kudos to you all.
(According to the school, the boy, hearing a classmate say, 'I ate this bread in 3 seconds,' said, 'I can eat it faster than that,' broke the bread into two pieces and put them in his mouth.
The boy's father said, 'I think the school did all they could. I have no intention of pursuing this further. I've learned the truth, and I'm satisfied. It wasn't anybody's fault.'
I don't think the father would say that if he had even the slightest suspicion of bullying being the cause of his son's death, or if he thought his wife's nationality in any way affected the way the boy was treated at school.
I feel very sorry for the family, but sad though it is, I think it was the boy's own fault. No one forced him to shove a whole soft bread roll into his mouth. All the arguments about the teacher should have provided better supervision/used prompt first aid/whatever may be true, but they are secondary to the plain truth that without the boy's own actions there would be no need for any action at all by the school.
Part 1:Based on facts , not just from the teacher, question is when did the JT call for help? the JT knew that the boy was choking, what did she do? the poor boy was obviously needing water that's why he ran to the faucet...When did the JT seriously took the boy's dilemma? like call for help if she's stupid to know whether Nori is joking or not? someone was quoted that they thought the boy was joking...when did the JT call the ambulance?or the help of the PE teacher? when Nori collapsed and having seizure like a dying fish out of the water? is the JT single? i believe that if the JT is a mother, she would know right away that the poor boy is choking.and she would have done her best to help the boy.but the JT sad to say is finding a way to save herself that is by telling half truths to the poor principal who loves to answer recklessly to the reporters. do mothers in that school still trust that JT to perform her job well, to look after their kids for safety?during the JT's watch? she didn't even gave Nori a glass of water ,like run and make him drink.dummy JT!!!next point, that boy who told Nori to eat that bread in 3 seconds.come and let us think, did that boy knew that Nori would choke to try eating that bread in 3 seconds?becoz if he knew that Nori would choke from the challenge,he himself would have tried eating the bread in 3 seconds instead of asking someone else to eat that bread in 3 seconds. i believe he knew that Nori would choke,if that's the case.doesn't this boy who told Nori to eat that bread in 3 seconds has a criminal mind?
Part 2:if this boy gets out without being observed and clinically tested, there's a big probability that he would be a threat to other kids, more or less to the society when he grows. a killer doesn't stop till caught...going back to the bread thing, when Nori swallowed the bread he knew he was aware he was choking that's why he was trying to drink, you need mouthfuls of water to push a food that chokes you, common sense.yes the bread gets big.would you believe that when he swallowed the bread it went big at once thereby killing him?come on, maybe when a tissue makes contact with a saliva or water , the tissue would absorb at once the liquid.but what about bread? is the bread the same with tissue in matters of water absorption?the bread would expand at once?and kill you?for one who doesn't think or no brains, it'll be believable.our esophagus flexibility, is it same like a plastic pipe?when food stucks, uhmph! dead meat?a big NO!!! that's why mom's can deliver out babies, we have a flexible body...talking about elders dying of choking, why did they died? why were they not helped? most of those elders who choked were by themselves.natural hypothesis, cardiac arrest.after investigation, choking.by themselves with nobody knows what just took place. Nori's case is different.the teacher and everyone inside the room knew he's choking.common sense, he was needing water that's why again may i say he ran for a drink from a faucet which would give you how many ml to drink from your hand huh?he could have been helped. what did the JT do?and that boy bully, before he've convinced Nori to eat the bread he was bullying Nori from before. of course, common sense, how would a boy think?Nori didn't want to have another reason to be bullied again so he took the challenge. the principal stated in the news that Nori said "MURI" "IMPOSSIBLE" to eat that in 3 seconds .but then again BOY BULLY will torment again Nori if he doesn't eat that.he is just a boy not an adult so don't blame on him of his action and decision. u need an open mind to think rather than say """it's the boys fault eating that big piece of bread so he died""" dumdum...let me paint you a picture, the bread that choked Nori, is the cause of death...next one,who was the cause of death?the JT and boy bully...why the JT, negligence and lack of competence to face immediate response to Nori's dilemma.why boy bully? why can't he leave Nori alone to eat his food quietly instead of asking Nori to eat that in 3 seconds when he himself can not do it?......still hard to understand huh? try to figure this two friends are talking.A says 'hey B i saw from news that a man lost his eye from drinking a coffee' ...B "what a terrible thing! so now it's dangerous to drink coffee huh?" A "yes, becoz the spoon was inside the cup and it hit hi eye when he drank from it" so which is which are we? B believes at once the news and doesn't thoroughly think but just says at once i feel bad for that person. or are we A he search the cause...let's think this is life , not just a boy. how many kids are there dying from bullies with a criminal mind?....i'm just voicing out opinion....maybe if Nori was your relative, and you are hearing what people say about him , that he died coz of his wrong decision and then you know the facts harboring his death.compassion..is all we hope for....
a note for CLEO: i feel bad for you, you talk about things from tabloids and make comments.we are telling you facts. what we are saying won't revive our dead boy but it can save other boy if truth is revealed...you stated
[The boy's father said, 'I think the school did all they could. I have no intention of pursuing this further. I've learned the truth, and I'm satisfied. It wasn't anybody's fault.'] well the principal said from previous reports that there was no eating challenge.after investigation the principal gave another statement. why? becoz facts are coming out.i am sure the father would give a different statement when you ask him today.why? i'm close to the family....we are a family! to satisfy you, i'll be posting soon in youtube the unedited meeting that went before the principal and the parents...and hey! Nori's parents allows interview only from TBS and not to any other channel.so watch news from TBS not from other newscast.so you won't be misinformed regarding this .since you are so vehement to protect those people and blame our dead boy....
I feel bad for the dead boy, for his parents, for the class teacher and ambulance staff that were unable to help him. And for his classmates that had to watch him kill himself.
I have personal experience of a school principal bending the truth to 'protect' the school; it doesn't work, the truth comes out in the end. So make no mistake, I have no intention of protecting the principal. If there had been trouble before over bullying I very much doubt the father would have been so ready to accept the principal's explanation at face value in the first instance.
you need mouthfuls of water to push a food that chokes you, common sense.
Common sense is that you don't shove a whole bread roll into your mouth in the first place. The soft bread had to be compacted to fit into his mouth, and once it was in it would naturally expand again.
When old people die of choking, by the way, it's usually because the muscles that automatically close the windpipe when we eat have grown weak, and the food - maybe only a small morsel - goes down 'the wrong way' and the old person isn't able to cough it back up again. That kind of accident is a far cry from a whole bread roll being stuffed into the mouth.
Why are his parents refusing to speak to anyone other than TBS?
in light of the statement I gave about only TBS covering the news on this boy fully. It is because it's the parents decision to entertain only one station that's why TBS were able to show pictures of the deceased.no offense to other media.it was tough to pick only one since there's more than 20 cards offered to her plus the pressure from other media knocking her house at 3am .about the boys death , some of the deceased boy classmates have been calling the mother and been telling her what happened inside the room.it is true that we do know the truth.and let's hope that this kind of thing not to happen again. children are a gift and it's better to dwell on good memories.thank you for those who doesn't believe that the boy killed himself.thank you for those kind ears who heard our side of the story.again, thank you guys for having thought of ways how the boy could have been saved....thank you all...for parents, enjoy your kids.be their hero and a friend....keep smiling!

We all know that bullying does go on in schools, but I've heard no suggestion that this was a case of bullying except speculation here on JT.
From the Mainichi -
(According to the school, the boy, hearing a classmate say, 'I ate this bread in 3 seconds,' said, 'I can eat it faster than that,' broke the bread into two pieces and put them in his mouth.

B believes at once the news and doesn't thoroughly think but just says at once i feel bad for that person. or are we A he search the cause...let's think this is life , not just a boy. how many kids are there dying from bullies with a criminal mind?....i'm just voicing out opinion....maybe if Nori was your relative, and you are hearing what people say about him , that he died coz of his wrong decision and then you know the facts harboring his death.compassion..is all we hope for....

a note for CLEO: i feel bad for you, you talk about things from tabloids and make comments.we are telling you facts. what we are saying won't revive our dead boy but it can save other boy if truth is revealed...you stated [The boy's father said, 'I think the school did all they could.
