What a nerve for China to "ask" Japan something horrible, illegal like that! All Falun Gong members are eating yumcha in China Towns restaurants in US...go find them.

Why don't they give them info on Aum Shinrikyo instead. Or is that Alph thesedays?

I don't think that Falun Gong are listed as a terrorist organization in any country other than China. Hence it's rather difficult to get other countries to do their leg work. Besides, considering that Japan is probably crawling with Chinese intelligence agents I don't see why they need to cut corners.

Nice to see that Japan has backbone. Did the Chinese really think that the Japanese would acquiesce? Also has China asked for info on Falun Gong based in other countries?

The last thing we need is for the Japanese government to comply with this err ... "request".

    Nice going Japan!!!!!!!!!!

Now if those internet providers trying to cash in on the CHina market would get on board and not kiss up to the China government with providing personel information to them.

Japan should trade Falun Gong info for support on the Takeshima issue. Korea would really mess their pants on that one!

I'm glad they don't bow to the Chinese but then again I wish they'd get rid of all these cult like idiots. Personally though I don't blame China for not wanting them. Just imagine Japan if they did accept the christians and the jesuits. Look how they ruined the Philippines. All cults should be banned.

    "Christianity" is a "cult"?

That's a new definition of the word "cult" for me.

Regardless, Falun Gong IS a cult, by the definition of the word. I'll rank them up there with Scientology.

  • RepublicofTexas at 06:41 AM JST - 19th July

I suppose technically it is a "cult", but cult has a negative connotation to it. When I think of a cult, Aum Shinrikyo or those American domesday cults come to mind.

Believing in father christmas is a cult too, believing in any imaginary being that can do weird & wonderful things so long as you belong to a group of like believers is a cult. The number of believers doesn't enter into it. As freaky as these people are I'm stilled pleased Japan said no

well anyone that does not bow to the communist system is a threat and faces consequences by the CCP. That does not matter who or what they are.

That is the whole issue with China! It will be the whole population before long that is the CCP's threat, I can not wait for that day to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
