UH, 'Chinese internet users " are hardly an authoritative group to advise anything to anyone as it is hardly a source for any kind of meaningful influence. :)

11 ( +17 / -6 )

A lot of crazed, brainwashed lunatics over in that country.

20 ( +25 / -5 )

I wonder if the purpose of this article is to try to show the real face and opinions of the Chinese people. If it is true then of course all rhetorics from China about international cooperation, peace and nonaggression can be flushed in the toilet.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

“You little Japanese are shameless. Our military ought to fiercely strike you down, attacking until you admit the error of your ways and until you give our land back to us,” wrote a Weibo user who identified himself as Hong Zaixing.

Well Hong Zaixing, If you want your ass and the asses of your fellow Communist Comrades handed to you / them on a silver platter, then Bring It On Tough Guy!

Internet geeks!

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Chinese Internet users?  Most likely soft office types or un- or under-employed types perched precariously in their tiny apartments.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I doubt these people have the slightest idea of what they are asking for. It's easy to get hot-headed over nationalism and call for war, but they seriously need to consider the repercussions of such an action, not just from a military perspective, but from a broader humanitarian perspective. Anyway, opinions over the internet count for little to nothing, so they ought not to be taken seriously.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

I bet there are a whole lot more people in China that competely disagree with what their government is doing. It is kind of hard to show these feelings in real life in a country where it is very easy to be arrested for them. Just in October they arrested two bloggers who were writing things the government did not want people to see. So, I kind of take these 'government sanctioned' users mentioned in the article with less than a grain of sand.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Well, there goes the Chinese tourist numbers - back down the drain...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Well said Slumdog san :)

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Chinese Internet users are calling for tough measures to enforce China’s new airspace defense zone over waters disputed with Japan, with many saying only war will teach Japan not to mess with Chinese sovereignty.

Some of them have even found their way to this website too, easy to spot the Chinese and their sympathises bashing away on here.

Retired Major General Luo Yuan, one of China’s most outspoken military figures, wrote on his Weibo account that China had to enforce the zone with force if necessary.

“It must be enforced to the full, and no country must think that they can harbor the idea of leaving things to chance,” he wrote.

And this goose knows nothing, as we saw china took no action when those B52's flew into its imaginary airspace, they monitored the planes but did nothing, yeah they sat there wide eyed with their jaws hitting the floor !

4 ( +7 / -3 )

...only war will teach Japan not to mess with Chinese sovereignty.

Funny thing 'bout that. China might consider what their national polity would be like when their sources of imported fuel run as dry as their export markets; when they face a combination of advanced American and Japanese weaponry combined with asymmetrical seaborne attacks from the Philippines and Vietnam; when their repressed minorities in the west and south (and maybe even northeast) revolt; and when their people begin to wonder who got them into this mess in the first place.

The issue is far, far from existential for China; the same cannot be said for the CCP.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Allowiing freedom of discussion iof all subjects in all media in China will help overcome the problem

3 ( +3 / -0 )

“If they refuse to comply, and act willfully despite advice to the contrary ... China’s armed forces will take emergency defensive measures.”

Let the B-52's bring down the rain.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Sorry, but any story based on posts by anonymous Internet users has zero news value, especially from a place like China with its heavy censorship.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Oh good!! Rioting in communist China again. That was the best entertainment a few years ago. I loved watching them make their dirty polluted country more dirty and polluted. Go rioters.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

These fools are doing absolutely nothing to further their cause, and only creating more hatred towards them. Morons. War is NOT how you make someone 'see the error of their ways', unless it proves to show those who struck that they were wrong, and by then it's usually too late.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Chinese internet users have been always like this. Really, it's nothing to do with the gov. A large number of people in China are still influenced by the patriotic ideology of a century ago. Some are especially hostile to Japan. Fortunately (in fact , unfortunately)many of those people are from low social status and have limited level of education.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Should put these nutters on an island with those black van plonkers in Japan and let them fight it out.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Let them riot and go mad in the streets again like spoilt little brats smashing up their toys because they cant get their own way. Really this is how they are and some on here still want to defend them, its laughable that they even know how to use a computer , maybe some one else turned it on for them.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Oh, how sweet!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yes Japan made mistakes in the past , but who doesn't , but calling for military action , is the proof , that your claims that Japan is an enemy are ungrounded , and that you are even worse as the Japanese in the past

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I, for one, couldn't care less if fewer, or no, chinese tourists come to Japan. The rude, loudmouthed poor manners alone make them unwelcome.

Furthermore, manufacturers ought to return their production lines either to their home countries or at least to non-insane countries. Buy non-chinese goods.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Reaction by people with inferiority complex.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Great whats next? Thank god that not all Chineese think like the uneducated ones.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Just a war of words. If it goes beyond that, Japan should be able to hold its own against any kind of attack.

Also, on another note ... glad to see the return of Zichi (above). He's been absent recently, and was worrying about him.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

None of these people would even make it to the battlefield alive. The first person would stand up in full view and then foam at the mouth like a rabid animal, until someone on the opposing side got bored enough to actually raise his weapon and shoot him...... or they might just not even bother, and just stand there and laugh.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

"cut off economic ties" China would be where it was today if it wasn't for the large help from the outside world.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Also, Luo Yuan was a general of logistics.

.....

Yes, that means his claim to fame was counting undies for the boys and girls of the PLA.

So.....glorious.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

OMG! Run for the HILLS ! Chinese Internet users have their Panties in a Wad!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Like little naïve children they don't understand what a war will cost them, but if they start it their nation shall fall into civil war as it always has when things go wrong.

Only a matter of time before a hotheaded officer orders their forces to act and then "puff" their they went.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Japan, S. Korea and America should immediately launch joint military exercises in the Chinese ID zone, you know, those exercises that were "scheduled years ago" and that are "part of normal military defensive measures aimed at improving capability" etc. etc...and run their planes through the Chinese ID zone every day for a month and see how Beijing bites on that.

They could also do flypasts of the Chinese carrier (200m above her deck at Mach 1 should capture sufficient attention) and fake bombing runs to scare the bejasus out of the Chinese. Heh heh. :-)

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Chinese Internet users have over reacted. What that is needed is to mobilize the 1.4 billion Chinese throughout the world to boycott all Japanese products let's all buy American. This will make America happy. As an overseas Chinese, I have already stopped buying Japanese and encouraging others to do likewise!

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

Jean Valjean - "Furthermore, manufacturers ought to return their production lines either to their home countries or at least to non-insane countries. Buy non-chinese goods."

This dispute has nothing whatsoever to do with Chinese manufacturers. There's no need to talk about creating unnecessary harm.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

This only shows how nationalism can be used by powerful elites in all nations to move peoples' emotions away from what is really bothering them--poor working conditions, class warfare, bad governance, degraded environment, consumer envy, relational problems, self hatred, etc., towards some faceless foreign other.

Better to look at the "man/woman in the mirror" and take actions locally to improve our own living conditions and help the common people around the world who are suffering.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

"Cut all economic ties with japan" that goes to show you the eduction and understanding these morons have of the world. Who do they think buys all their LGP gas, who buys all the iPhones, ps4 and xbox ones that are all made in Chinese factories. Do they really think Chinese people buy all the crap that China produces? What a joke. Cutting ties with japan, means cutting ties with the USA, Canada, eu, uk. Which means that China would shrivel up and die faster than they could type and pat another moronic message online crying about it.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

chinese internet users, aka chinese communist party members with uncensored access to the internet, are following strict politburo orders. soon they will attack this forum, giving thumbs down to comments that disagree with their expansionist views. is the china-gov really preparing their population for war against japan? why does china need to create an enemy now? are they loosing steam in their economy? are they truly afraid that japan will invade them or some other such hallucinatory excuse?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

It seems like an article written with the express aim of trying to stir things up. Five or six extreme quotes from the kind of jingoistic shallow-thinkers (that you can find in virtually any country), spawned by a nationalistic mentality that is a natural consequence of undiluted human greed, often nurtured and taken advantage of by those who seek (or wish to maintain) power. It appears on occasion the Chinese government, in the guise of protector of the people's "cake", needs to make aggressive posturing against any assumed (or government-manufactured) potential "cake" thieves. In reality, the dire worldwide economic consequences of any kind of war between the two countries will be the ultimate deterrent here.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

TakahiroDomingo

chinese internet users, aka chinese communist party members with uncensored access to the internet, are following strict politburo orders. soon they will attack this forum, giving thumbs down to comments that disagree with their expansionist views.

They been here doing that for years, only now there are more of them, guess the commies are getting more into the work force form the outlying provinces.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

@Asian2013: ...What that is needed is to mobilize the 1.4 billion Chinese throughout the world to boycott all Japanese products...

i wonder from what parallel universe these thoughts come from. it is difficult to find in japan something genuinely "made in japan". it's the other way around, everything is made in china, so in any case if you want to do harm to japan for no good reason, convince your chinese masters to stop selling stuff to japan.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Posting net comments as "source" in articles is pretty poor journalism if you ask me, although it is occasionaly done even in NYT and BBC for example. Making an article based solely on net comments (as above) is even more of a stretch.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Nationalist Chinese vs. Nationalist Japanese.... all the more concerning...

All that needs to happen is revert to state 5 year ago, no touch islands, no issue. We nationlise island, then big issue. For those who don't know history, they can refer to map, the island is swiming distance from Taiwan, and Taiwan is part of China. We keep staus quo its to our advantage since the island is effectively under Japanese control. Thanks to our hostile aggressor big brother America!

-17 ( +0 / -17 )

Sure these groups of people have no idea what war means in a real sense. Im sure they don't even now how to behave when shells start raining. Unfortunately the hotheads have been known to start wars before. Of course they will be the first to be killed but sadly many other may as well. Better that you Chinese internet guys take an aspirin, flush it down with a coke and then get back to your video games.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Isn't this a common Communist government agenda, find a common enemy and focus the population on that rather than the regional conflicts that would arise from within that would lead to a lost of control of power. Anything coming out of China is meaningless anyway since all the websites are censored.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

China has a lot of domestic problems these days such as terrible pollutions, bureaucrats corruptions, real estate depression, farmers evictions,,,etc. People are getting more disatisfied and frustrated about what its government does/did. Communist government is very worried about some kind of revolution against their own government . It seems that the government increase more tension to the new dispute(ADIZ) to avoid such a deep dissatisfaction of people. As a result they are naturally following the government about their patriotism,,,, hatred of Japan..

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I'm not surprised that these "Chinese Internet Users" are the advocating war. After all, their own government has been doing so since the start of the year.

"As tensions between China and Japan escalate, China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has been told to prepare for war in a training directive issued by the General Staff Headquarters, which oversees the entire PLA. http://www.voanews.com/content/chinas-peoples-liberation-army-pla-prepare-for-war/1585348.html

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Hey, cutting off economic relationship is much better than a war.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

As technology improves so quickly and communication is made so much more easily than before (even in China's case), the CCP continues to play a dangerous game. The Chinese people are learning more and more about the ouside world and the realities of their lives as well as the fact their secretly elected leaders will do anything to keep the masses under control. Any overreaction could also lead to the Chinese people rising up against their Communist bosses. It's hard not to wonder if the US and Japan are hoping this may happen or are even trying to make it happen without full-blown war but with gradual pushes.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Have you guys realized that most of Chinese internet users don't really live in China.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Let's see, how is this communist Chinese war against Japan going to work? Communist China is going to launch a bunch of landing craft to attack Japan? They are going to send in paratroops? I wonder. Too bad China could not have just become prosperous and peaceful. I suppose their rage has truly imbalanced their collective national psyche.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"action against Japan"

Heck, the Japanese buy a LOT of stuff from China, the Chinese had better be careful about pissing off the Japanese too much.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Mitsuo MatsuyamaNov. 27, 2013 - 09:34PM JST Have you guys realized that most of Chinese internet users don't really live in China.

Yup. People who enjoy the freedoms that Chinese in China don't have supporting the dictatorship. Misguided cultural pride.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Chinese internet users need history lessons,

China did not win WWI iI without American win.

China was losing war against Japan for years until American won,

Americans are not for China this time.

They can be recruited toi Chinese Military to fight while Japan will use drones to kill them,

'

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Ahhh Chinese internet users....shoga-freakin'-nai

You speak as if war is something you can do anytime, like playing a stupid video game.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

China surely succeeded distracting their people from domestic problems. But I have a feeling this will turn out for Japan's favor in the end.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

And where is the story about Japan Internet users calling for actions against China? I'm on Japanese portals everyday, and the type of vile racist comments are far far worse than what's printed here about the Chinese net users.

This hysteria in Japan is something worth seeing right now. Just about everything's about Chinese this, Koreans that, Chinese that, Koreans this - on a daily basis and the shrill of the sounds are going up everyday for mighty Japan to take up arms and smite the evil enemies in one swipe!

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Yeah let's torch Japanese businesses again and beat innocent Japanese citizens throughout China, all "justified" for the sake of some islands and the usual "Japanese atrocities" card (why DO news articles about China/Japan ALWAYS have the same cliched "lingering resentment/bitterness over wartime past" statements?).

By comparison Chinese citizens and those of Chinese descent in Japan were treated like any other person in Japan. Chinese students in Japanese schools hardly experienced the assaults and vicious racism suffered by Japanese citizens last year during the riots.

Now we see who the real sane and rational people are.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

internet users? i am wondering maybe they are just kids not monitored by their parents, if not, then what wrong to them, looks like they are just mis-using the internet.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

China. Let it go.

You can't win this one.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I agree with c]kuuku: They got be kids who help their parents how to use internet.

Globalwatcher: Did you write in Chinese language to communicate with Chinese medias in China? If you write in Chinese, you can get response easily.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Tiger_in a hemerige or whatever your name is.... You're as stupid as the rest of China...Taiwan is not a part of China...you wish it was.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I have seen the US media and BBC both trying to insert news about China which no one here cares about at all into the daily news. It is a silly move and one created by the intense lobbying of Chinese desires. I have no interest at all in what they are doing or thinking for they have clearly shown they are not ready to be part of the real international community. if they cannot control their own government which is acting like a spoiled kid and a playground bully, then i have no desire to have more interaction with them until they grow up.

for now, internet users means anyone which means nothing really of value to note. Sorry but it really does not mean a thing.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Just read those translated comments and you'll realize you're reading the comments of a 15yo.

There're over 1.4 billion of them, so who exactly are these "internet users"? What age group posted these type of comments? I think you can find posters on this website as "internet users" who would comment for Japan against China in a similar fashion. Weibo is like twitter, dominated by a bunch of kids and teens. They will kill or destroy anything over everything if you believe a word they say.

I think most people would want a peaceful and stable life. Its always the advocates with certain agendas and politicians who try to stir things up on all sides.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

China citizens pretty mad eh? China you may have a strong military but Japanese Self Defense Force is stronger then you think lol. Japan is even stronger with U.S on their side and other allies around the world.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Did anyone ever care about these disputed islands until the oil discovery in the early 60's?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Mr Abe and Japan's Nationalists must realize Senkaku island (originally Daioyu) was illegally taken from China ensuing "The First Sino-Japan War." The Island was a Chinese territory buy it was colonized along with other territories in mainland China during the War. Territories forcefully taken from a War must be restored to it's original sovereign Nation, this is the only way to put closure to past wrong-doings and to prevent another wrongful deeds from occurring in the future.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

No, nobody cared, especially the Chinese...

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Huh. So the brainwashed masses of China are taking to the internet to protest. Big whoop. I wonder how long it took JT to clean up what they actually said. Have you read the pro PRC comments on the JT articles? Very poorly written, almost completely incoherent. If they want to punish Japan, they can always join the PLA. Then, when conflict does break out, they can die "heroically" in US Drone Strikes. This is truly moronic. Complaining on a Twitter-like service won't make the slightest bit of difference. They're just blowing off steam. If they take a step back, calm down, and grow up, they'll realise just how stupid they sound.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

We got an interesting fighting match coming up soon ladies and gentleman. In this international Arena, we are pleased to present two equally strong and equally stubborn nationalistic sides fighting over huge swaths of empty ocean and lonely islands! On the right side, we've got a competitor who has been placing claim on a handful of islands on the east China sea they were able to control since the late 1800!. On the left, we've got a country whose laying claim over virtually all of China Sea through their support of having claimed all of china sea from the 1400s!

Now let's bring out the team deathmatch! On the left side we have the mighty and economically robust, the People's Republic of China (whose army and civil defense is controlled mainly by the Chinese Communist Party)! On the Right side we have another mighty and economically robust country by the name of Japan! Oh what's that?! Japan's got friends?? And Who don't like the idea of China's new Air Defense Identification zone?? Well let's bring the additional contenders! We have nations such as Taiwan, Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam, oh and let's not try to count out the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (A country that has been the most active nation in delivering foreign policy to the door steps of their opponents, and a country that holds a very large and war hungry Military industrial Complex, aka Private military Corporations).

Stayed tuned in Ladies And Gentlemen for our upcoming event, the Pacific BRAWL!!!!!!!!!!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

China will lose the war, there is no question of them winning. The PRC fleet will reside on the bottom. There is one thing any war needs the PRC to start it. Maybe even the North will attack the south and lose badly. There will be the Republic of Korea. Maybe only the Republic of China as well. If the PRC wants war bring it on!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Boycott "made in China" trashy products.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The fact that they don't realize they would be going up against the USA as well just shows their ignorance. But if this is just some kind of site like 2ch, people say stupid things all the time.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

china internet? .. well they always promoting their product is that a helbal tea?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sure China, start a war and lose not only the war, but lose the basis for China's economic prosperity.

Even if the far fetched fantasy ideas of these Chinese web commentators come true and China wins some semblance of a war or shooting match, nobody would be fool enough to keep buying from China or shifting their industry to China.

We can only hope that people and businesses stop this stupidity of moving jobs and whole industries to such a corrupt player in the world community.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

These internet morons simply regurgitate the nationalistic propaganda fed to them by the Chinese regime. They represent only the result of government indoctrination.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Look at this petty show here. US this US that, it shows that Japan and the US are bullying China. I heard people kept saying Japan’s arms forces are so strong they can beat China any time and yet Japan ganged up with the US to show its aggressive force. Japan has frequently sent vessels and planes to detect Chinese ships and planes in regular navigation or training, which has severely hampered the freedom of navigation and overflight. And, yet people here don’t see it that only the bullies gang together to bully the weak. If you notice we don’t see Chinese leaders are in in all these at all, this shows that Japan and the US are hyping up the situation to show that China is a threat. Chinese leaders are busy doing business with the whole world, and now look at Abe and Obama what are they doing, they look like they are in a political game show. Think it through carefully people, don’t you find it strange that China didn’t have ADIZ until now, this surely go against the theory of China Threat. Japan has it for 44 years already. And, do you know that Japanese ADIZ is pretty much the same size as Chinese ADIZ and only 130 kms from the Chinese shore and within Chinese EEZ. China is pretty much in the receiving end here, China has to react to Japan’s constant provoking and smearing, and yet we have never seen Chinese leaders speaking out at all. So, when we see Chinese leaders speaking out then we definitely should be worried.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

@flowers- good! In the past century, China was so weak that she was bullied and victimized by Japan. If not for the good old USA, today Chinese will speak Japanese and the "Greater Japan" would be the greatest threat to US. Japan is still very strong and from comments, we can see that Japan can destroy China anytime. So this ADIZ is nothing. Let it pass unless we need an excuse create a "Greater Japan" once again with the SEAsian nations also thrown in!!! See then whether the US will defend Japan!

Hey, cutting off economic relationship is much better than a war.

okay understood. You are asking for it and it will be done. First, if this Chinese aggression continues, Japan, US, EU will call for UN assembly to remove China from UN Security Council seat. Second, we can impose economic sanction against China accordingly. Actually TPP is a trade block not including China. It is already happening, you like it or not.
