No problem ... really? I guess the pesticides were SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE BEANS! Here's my advice lady. Tell the chinese to shove their condolences up their (expletive avoided) and get yourself a lawyer (just not in China) and SUE THE CRAP OUT OF THEM. Financial accountability is the only way to correct a situation that will be tolerated by corrupt government officials. Both the Chinese and Japanese governments don't care about you, they care only about MONEY.
Of course they will say there's "No Problem." After all, they weren't expected to eat the beans. They expected the beans to be eaten in Japan, so there are no problems with any amount of pesticides in the beans.
The officials won't be allowed to embarrass their country with more food scandals, so they will deny any finding that shows pesticides in their products. It takes a scandal the size of the melamine milk scare before they will admit anything.
Hahahaha !!!!! China is making a great reputation for themselves. They are killing the competition. This headline should say, " China says, " Eat At Your Own Risk !!!! "
What did you lot seriously expect them to reveal? "Oh, we've been keeping our gardening supplies next to the washing liquid, and I think the dog played in them a bit, then took a bath with the beans."?
Nuckinfutz displayed an amazing lack of grasp on reality - your advice for her is to sue the govt/foreign company from outside China?? Good luck, if she takes that advice, I wonder how long she would have till bankruptcy and nowt to show for it.
I love these beans and have often bought the frozen ones from China in the past. But my family have imposed a total ban on imported food from China since the gyoza scare. It looks there is a conspiracy to pollute food exported to Japan by some triad which has a severe grudge against Japan and their own government.
I don't know about this one guys. We've had how many people affected by this? How many packages of beans? I wonder if some sicko was trying to re-create the US Tylenol incident? Or was somebody trying to kill this particular woman? There are a lot of loose ends here.
Of course there is a lot of history to lay blame on the Chinese too. So I could go either way on this. Better safe than sorry.
Forgive me Pivot, I forgot Japan and China are both still third world >countries that lack functional judicial systems.
The Japanese judicial system is irrevelant. If you want to go after the
Chinese Govt or Factory, action must be brought in the place of jurisdiction, ie; a Chinese court.
