We are all for the continuance of this long Japan-Spain relationship.

400 year history??? No way, Jose.

Well, there was a period between 1639 and 1854 in which Japan was an isolationist.

Also, Japan cut its diplomatic relationship with Spain in 1624. The relationship wasn't restored until 1868.
