The crown prince will leave Japan from Haneda Airport on Sunday aboard a chartered government jet for Riyadh. He will meet the new King Salman to offer condolences, and return to Japan late Monday.

The crown prince last visited Saudi Arabia three years ago.

Saudi Arabia should be sanctioned, not honored 1000 lashes, anyone? Any other country and it would be sanctions and diplomatic isolation. but no let's not offend the homeland of Mecca and Medina, even though the place and its dark-ages creed ought to deeply offend any reasonable person.

They've got the oil, so they're all right by us. Terrible.

Saudi money has been used to fund ISIS, the same group that just murdered a Japanese citizen. Abdullah was complicit in the funding of ISIS, so why is Naruhito going to "pay his respects"?

Abdullah was a corrupt, vicious dictator and should not be mourned.

Why is the prince going to this funeral? He should stay away.
