do you mean that Masako has a japanese wife or that you make your Japanese wife sad?
samsarks at 10:56 AM JST - 13th December
Blackflag, masako is a lady and i dont make my wife sad but i rather enlighten her.i was trying to emphasise how their culture and "sempais" have extreme influence on marriages,

Poor Masako! The word "hen" does come to mind, meaning "bizarre." We all knew it was going to be difficult for her, but this is just ridiculous. The previous Emperor Showa (Hirohito) said Emperorship was very much like a golden cage. As I understand, he was able to escape it briefly and visit Europe, where he developed some insight. Empress Michiko has also suffered terribly from mental disorders, reminiscent of prisoners who have undergone extreme isolation as a psychological torture technique. The Emperors themselves fare better, I think, because they are born into it and don't have to adjust to that peculiar form of insanity. Heaven help their wives!

Masako is not poor. Her husband have been faithful to her unlike Br**ish prince. I can't imagine the cause of her mental illness but the obligations. If she want to escape from the obligations the only select of her is divorce.
Poor Naruhito, Aiko and the Japanese nationals.

This is like if I kidnap someone and then tell the press, 'The girl told me to tell you that she hasn't been kidnapped. She is in the house by her own decision'

Nicely put.
Just a bunch of the same old crap. Rather than acknowlege that times have changed and they haven't, they release a statement defending the same old crap. Is it going to kill these people to recognize the humanity of the royal family?

Um..why is she fabulous ? She has done nothing, hardly seen in the last 5 years.
LostinNagoya at 12:35 AM JST - 14th December
they think she is fabulous because she´s been the right example to them: the nail that is hammered down, suffering silently, let herself being killed day after day...

Isn't it a damn shame the Crown Prince, who wanted her at all costs, is unable to shield her from the invasive omnipresence of the IHA which still, in the 21st century, elevates protocol before human values?
DoctorLady at 09:25 AM JST - 14th December
For Grand Master Issei Nomura of the Imperial Household Agency to claim that reports he and his agency are responsible for the Crown Princess' illness to be responsible for the Crown Princess' illness is rather absurd. It seems like he is saying that the rumors of bullying and mistreatment are true. Why else would the rumors have any effect? Why doesn't he prove the rumors wrong by giving the Crown Princess more freedom and opportunities?
DoctorLady at 09:33 AM JST - 14th December
and adequate health care. Yes, proper health care would definitely prove the rumors false because the health care cure her of her illness. The fact that she STILL has a disorder after so many years PROVES that the IHA is mistreating her.

What a difficult life to become lack by the golden cage. Why can't she escape? or go away from her traps of difficulties in life? She can move and find more better situations. I have sympathy on her.
