    Looks like the bribes aren't working any more, although these days Japan tends to focus on bribing even smaller nations: it's probably more cost-effective.

    Perhaps bribe amounts have gone up plus Japan has cut back on ODA

    Perhaps the Dominicans adopted a whale meat diet and started to get mercury poisoning like many Japanese who eat whale meat. And then thought maybe eating whale meat is not that bright after all.

    With the price of oil and food going up like it current is, I guess the mighty yen just doesn't stretch as far as it used to.

    whale tongue is gooddddddd, i want it more affordable. if you havent tried it , then dont knock it. it is really good, so i think it is time Japan start whaling again. The maguro population is getting too low
