Off course! Golden week is just around the corner and they need to make money!

Nope! All 787 flights were, and continue to be cancelled for Golden Week. Do your research before making silly comments.

The plan calls for Boeing to encase the lithium-ion batteries in a steel box, install new battery chargers, and add a duct to vent gases directly outside the aircraft in the event of overheating.
Or, they could have told Boeing to change the batteries to ni-cad. This steel box fix -- to contain onboard fires! -- is wonky indeed, especially in light of Airbus's hasty decision to switch to safe ni-cad batteries for its 350. Airbus opted for safety. It would be nice if the FAA did as well.
