Good luck there and get healthy.

I fell like I have the same thing, but no temperature. I feel for the man.

I hope he gets well, too. And not that I don't trust the IHA as far as I can throw it, but when Showa Tenno was in the hospital, the IHA kept saying "He's resting well." "He's alert." Almost until the day he died. I hope this isn't the case this time.

Give the guy a break, for God's sake. He's 77, comes from a family where half the members are frail and weak, and he's still expected to attend so many ceremonies. Get well soon!

    Get well soon, old fella.

What is the Emperor's Doctor playing at ? IMHO the Emperor should have been given antibiotics for the INFECTION in his Lungs as soon as he was admitted into the hospital on November 6th. The Bronchitis should not have been allowed to progress to Bronchial pneumonia. Be safe and get well soon Emperor.

He probably get antibiotics counted for either 3 days or 5 days but never to eat a whole pack (over time) as you should do to keep them working he might very well be immune by now.

This must be a case of mycoplasma.

Why would you imagine he is not being given the best medical care, including proper doses of antibiotics and anything else he needs?

    warnerbro

Yes, I would imagine that he is not being given the best medical care. This is Japan. The best medical care is unavailable because Japanese physicians are very poorly trained.

I beg to differ,warnerbro-I suffered a Gran Mal seizure and was brought back from the brink by these"poorly trained" Dr.'s and compared to n.y.c. hospitals(HHC)this was AAA in every respect.

Mild? With an extended stay in the hospital? Doesn't sound mild. Mild is like last year during my annual exam. The doc looked at my chest x-ray and said "I'm a little concerned about this" (and pointed). And I thought it was just a cough.

Avoid smoking and drink heavily to eliminate germs to avoid this situation. No cure but best way to avoid is to drink daily.

I had pneumonia a couple of years ago. It was misdiagnosed at first, until I started coughing up blood. I wonder if the same happened with Akihito. A 77 year old with pneumonia is a serious matter. We could be seeing Emperor Moustache on the throne by the end of the year.

Why, is Aiko's Dad poorly, too?

    That didn't work. Try again.

Having lived here for a long time and having been hospitalised with pneumonia and having it fixed, I have no complaints against the Japanese doctors. This was 11 years ago and I have had another hospital visit since then for another problem; could have been very serious but they fixed that too. So, those of you criticising the Japanese medics, give us the facts, the real "this happened to me" story and then we can decide.
