Now that His Majesty has highlighted a Nissei-Brazilian presence, no doubt the black van boys will be around over the weekend telling the "Gaijins to Go Home to their Own Country" at 200dB at 3 AM or so. Just like they did after a similar visit in Toyota-shi, Aichi-ken a few years back. But where do you go when Japan IS your own country?
as well as schooling of such workers’ children with language difficulties.
The children don't have language difficulties. They may not be able to speak Japanese, but that in and of itself is not a 'difficulty.'
Does anyone know how the city is dealing with children who are not native-speakers of Japanese? Are they trying to find translators or teachers who can convey the meaning of Japanese in terms to students can understand?
