Fish fall from the sky in Akita
AKITA —
An elderly couple got a scare this week when 45-cm-long fish fell from the sky late Monday morning, landing near their home in Akita City, police said Wednesday. Eiko Saito, 66, discovered the fish after hearing a large thump. “I ran outside and was shocked to find a koi carp just outside the door,” she said.
Saito’s husband said he saw what looked to be an osprey, or sea hawk, circling above the home, and believes the bird dropped the fish.
Last June a shopping street in Akita made the news when around 70 dead tadpoles fell from the sky.

Gawd dog! Did you actually read the article? It was a 45cm carp, which probably weighed around 3 kilos. Did you come down in the last shower too?
