Gold medalist Kitajima chosen as 'best beer person'

Beijing Olympic swimming gold medalist Kosuke Kitajima, 25, has been chosen as the person who looks the best with a beer, the Japan Draft Beer Association in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, said Friday. The association conducted an online questionnaire this week.

According to the association, people chose Kitajima because “his image of freshness and toughness can be associated with beer” and “He looked good drinking beer after his competition.”

Actress Yuko Takeuchi, who appears in a TV commercial for a beer company, was also chosen in the female section, according to the association.

I can't recall ever seeing an award for looking good with a beer. Are there really people in this world that care about such things? Although, I know plenty of girls who look good after drinking beer.
