Don't mind so long Govt guarantees that there will be no more 'mislabelling' and for that they must ban all food imports.

What greater reward can there be than supporting your Motherland and father Emperor through your everyday grocery shopping.

For Japanese to go back to only "purchasing domestically produced food with a view to enhancing Japan’s food self-sufficiency," the Government better start the demolition crews today. Most of the land used for food in the past has been concreted over and built on. What will we eat when they pave the last rice field?

why government is trying to interfere in market?

They should have fixed tariffs and nothing else! Then, let the market sort itself out. People should have the right to choose what they want. Government has no right to do it for them.

Most of the food I buy is domestic food as I very seldom eat wild animals or non-cultivated plant materials. Also, two out of three of meals are consumed in my domestile.

The clearly story says the government is going to spend money on this. My point was that if the government has money to hand out for this, there should be plenty of money to support retired people without increasing the consumption tax. Why budget these stupid programs and then complain about the government having no money; the old people complaining can get a job, starve, or vote for a government that doesn't waste money on a "reward system" that will just make the farmers even lazier!
