I'm sure Japanese continue to use asbestos to this day! Screw safety when there's a yen to be made! At least the US Navy had the balls to state this was work related so he could receive compensation. Now before anyone starts to slam the US military again keep in mind that the work that exposed him was most likely being done by a Japanese firm, using all Japanese materials, to Japanese standards!

How much would they get if it did not happen at a US base? I see settlements just for peanuts.
