Asking the "Dojyo" won't help save the children(or the adults). They need to start sueing local and govt officials, school boards and TEPCO. It seems the economy is more important than human life, so hit them in the wallet. Also distributing information about the continuing effects of Chenobyl, and direct action might get Japanese more motivated.

Green peace Ha, We know Japanese don't like Kiwi fruit - because of the green piece in the middle,

but seriously this greenpeace outfit needs to take alook at itself.

“No parent should have to choose between radiation exposure and education for their child,”

Without question, they have to choose in Fukushima, and they really ought to make the decision as quick as possible..

Again? Foreigners care more about Japanese lives than their own government? Too bad go on meddling with the Japanese. Eventually, it's their own life. They never needed Greenpeace to tell them how to live and die.

Is Iryna Labunska a "Radiation Expert" as the article says? Greenpeace indicates she has an expertise in Organic Analytical Chemistry, but no qualifications in fileds to do with radiation.

I also love her over-the-top protective clothing - look at the mama-san in the background, much more sensible.

Exactly. The Japanese government and TEPCO has handled the crisis in a first class manner, everyone in Fukushima has the utmost confidence in them. Go away, pesky foreign activists - stop creating harmful rumours!

For long time the world goes on advising the Japanese how to live and I have never seen a single case when the Japanese took any of the advices. Not from foreign nuke expert on the following days of the disaster and in many cases not even from their very own hired advisers for whom the payed nice sum.

My guess is they are either strong headed or simply so secretive, as the Japanese society generally, that advices never make a hit or sense.

Whatever it is, what to say about it when outsiders come to warn them not to kill themselves. Said in a way, yet I would say leave them alone. Nothing would change anyhow. Dead man don't learn from the lesson and the survivors don't care. Now here, how the human civilization and and moral that humankind built during long centuries are destroyed in no time. How the centuries of the hard way built Japanese pride and extraordinary self discipline has gone for profit and prestige. I would say let them go on their own way, witnessing unprotected people dying without saying a word is unacceptable, though.

Yet, what sense does it make for Greenpeace or anybody else to speak without being able to make changes. Better be not meddling and letting them take their own life. You have better idea that works? Let us know please.

Green Peace Japan is a Japanese organisation

said Kazue Suzuki, Greenpeace Japan nuclear campaigner.

Under the protective umbrella as well as the campaign coordination of Greenpeace International. That is not Greenpeace Japan, neither Suzuki, (just a spokesman) it's Greenpeace international. Leastways as far as the article reveals.

Star-viking - Is Iryna Labunska a "Radiation Expert" as the article says? Greenpeace indicates she has an expertise in Organic Analytical Chemistry, but no qualifications in fileds to do with radiation.

Wow. I bet you didn't know how powerful you are or that Greenpeace was monitoring JT. Greenpeace just updated their site to claim that "Iryna also acts as a radiation safety advisor for Greenpeace." Funny how that worked out. Labunska needed a background in "radiation safety" so they wrote her one.

I think the Greenpeace site already had that in her profile - but being their radiation safety advisor does not necessarilly make her a radiation expert as the article claims. Such claims need to be backed up with qualifications and other indicators of expertise in the field. Just as a heart surgeon is not necessarily an expert in brain surgery, neither is an Organic Chemist an expert in 'Radiation'. Indeed looking for scholarly works by this 'expert' brings up only one scientific paper published in a peer-reviewed journal: "Concentrations of phthalate esters and identification of other additives in PVC children’s toys" - and she isn't even the first-named contributor to the paper.

So, nuclear safety spokeswoman - yes, expert - no evidence.
