    Flooding ???

What a joke ! This so called "flooding" is nothing more than evidence of some pretty shoddy construction you see in and around Japan ! My usual 10 minute walk to the train station this morning actually took an extra 7 as I veered, jumped, and scaled my way around some of the worst "man-made" lakes and rivers imaginable. When the hell will Japanese government officials stop giving these construction contracts to yakuza based companies that could care less about the citizens ?

Must be plane infuriating for the people forced to wait.

Isn't Haneda like Kansai, on a floating, propped up island in the bay? Maybe it's seepage at work too! Could use it as a submarine base!

Early this morning my g/friend urged me to 'ki o tsukete, storm da yo!' but I was rather disappointed to discover that it was only a spot of rain and a stiffer than average breeze... much like a normal spring morning in London :-)

Jeez, I thought I had left behind in the UK the hyperbole of "rain causes travel chaos" when in reality it is a few strong showers and 2cm of water.
