'Happy Trade Xmas' market to be held in Tokyo's Yoyogi Park
TOKYO —
A ‘Happy Trade Xmas’ market will be held in Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park on Sunday Dec 16.
Walking around the bamboo tents in Yoyogi Park, you’ll discover a vibrant community of farmers and producers from mainly the Kanto region with stalls offering a variety of tasty organic foods and drinks to savor over the holidays. To celebrate the festive spirit, there will be many stalls selling Fairtrade goods and unique handmade crafts from around the world with lots of special gift ideas and opportunities to support good causes.
There will also be many fun activities and workshops going on throughout the day, as well as chances to sample food and drinks.
Time: Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free admission. Yoyogi Park, Keyaki Namiki St, about a 10-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station (Yamanote line). Near the NHK Shibuya building.
The market is organized by Earthday Market in association with Earthday Money – a Tokyo-based NPO partnership working together on environmental, ethical and local currency related projects.
