Possibly, this helicopter was shot down by the US military out of Misawa Air Base fearing a low flying protest against Bush and the Iraq war.

Aren't we grasping at straws spudman? Based on the TV news reports, this helicopter was sounding rather sick as it flew along the Aomori coastline. Something happened that resulted in a ditching. Probably went down like a stone.
