They keep this up then every single square foot on Earth will be considered a heritage site. I guess UNESCO has to keep justifying their existence.

The Normandy invasion was one of the most significant events of the 20th century. I don't see why this bid for recognition deserves snide remarks from the peanut gallery.

I guess in mankinds entire history event only happened in normandy and hiroshima and besides im not really against them marking it as a world heritage site it deservers to be just saying im sure there's many other places with history. And for the record being that i live in south east of louisiana, U.S.A he bp oil spill and hurricane katrina happened in my backyard
