Aside from little advance publicity in Canada about the Imperial couple's visit, I relied on Japanese media to learn about their itinerary.
Anyhow, it does seem that the Imperial couple had a swell time visiting four major cities in Canada.

they seems relaxed and in good humour. Akihito's love affair played well here. I wonder why they aren't 'within touching distance' in their native Japan? I find it strange that Canadians had better access than Japanese in their native country, even if it was for only 12 days.
