Clearly the simplest explanation is the most probable: Holly and Will opened up a time portal escaping from the Sleestacks and the tadpoles dropped out of the sky from the Land of the Lost.

Simple, it is possible that during strong thunderstorms where there are strong updrafts and downdrafts, the frogs got tossed up and then back down. It is not the first time it happens.

130 dead tadpoles in Kanazawa city makes national news. I've been to Kanazawa and it is probably the most exciting thing to happen there in the last century.

I have heard that foreign kids use a special device called a "bucket" for carrying tadpoles in, and these devices can be made to scatter their load at will. Fiendish.

Evolution. Tadpoles change from fish like specimens to jumpy human like species. These are probably a new variation, the flying frog. They may not have fully evolved yet, but in time...
