Great idea but they have waited for three months to do this?

Get some tests and data on the old flight systems and batteries and then compare the figures with the new batteries!

Battery problem has been already resolve positively so this planes should be back in the business with out any delay. Triple protection with special ventilation system that's more then enough.

It is official. United has scheduled its 787s to fly starting May 31st.

I think also the batteries should be directly monitor from cockpit via HD CCTV and smoke alarm. So they can extinguish fire or disconnect from other instruments quickly if the battery has short circuit or over heating. I don't have full confident for flying with Lithium Batteries on flight.
