Japan seizes Taiwanese fishing boat

So this has nothing to do with the Senkakus or any disputed islands/waters?

Nice to read though, that Taiwanese fishers are allowed (by Japan) to fish around the Senkakus.

no problem since Japan treats Taiwan as a friendly nation.

They were fishing outside the agreed zone.

Taketomi island lies between Iriomote and Ishigaki. The Taiwanese fishing boat was deep into Okinawan territorial waters.
