So they're sending investigators to the US to investigate Japanese batteries?

Spending more money, keeping the public confused, and burying the truth so companies can sue companies is not going to solve the problem. It is a "feel good" hope for the public that has to fly. What caused the problem, why were batteries changed, and why can't the public view the maintenance report on-line in order to make it's own decision on "who dun it" in the first place.

No, they are sending two people on a vacation just to come back and say that there was "no conclusive data but we're certain it isn't Japanese components". Pretty pointless to bother the NTSB and FAA considering that probably 80% of aircraft forensics knowledge in the world rests with them (and with good reason considering 50%+ of internationally flown aircraft are built in FAA regulated areas).

Cannot see a problem here. They will all need to be singing off the same song sheet. Seems logical to double-check everything.

Let the three ring circus begin! ANA, Boeing and the battery company. Keep your eye on the coin under the shell in the sideshow.
