Too bad the US General of Japan doesn't care. Too Soon?

And due to "remote"nature of the hypothetical sland, it should not excluded that it might well be the ideal site for testing a weapon not unlike the "little boy" in its destructive power... Talk about speculating with fire...

US the main culprit.

Intelligent and proper military strategy for Japan and allies.

Pretty clear message to China I would think. So China are you listening? Do pay close attention because this is all for you mates.

karjai

US the main culprit.

So in this case what are we the main culprit of? Helping our ally become more proficient at defending it's territory? In that case we're guilty as charged.

Note to editor: The three arms of Japan's Self Defense Forces are called Ground, Maritime and Air. The Japanese Constitution forbids having an "army," "navy" or "air force."

That said, a smooth multinational exercise should go a long way toward keeping certain ambitions in check in the Western Pacific.

Some of the posters above have kindly pointed out for us less intelligent readers that these drills are directed at China.

Japan is a multi-island nation with on-going disputes with Russia in the north, Korea in the north-west and China in the south-west.

It must surely be better for Japan to be prepared and capable in any direction, than unprepared and incapable.

Chinese will likely wait until Japan and US will go through some trouble times.

So, what's the bet that next week we have China doing drills to take an island? This drill is more of a political drill than a military one.

In this timing!!! I wonder what the Chinese leader this time in the US soil has said to Obama when he was spending totally for 8 hours with him. I know he discussed something about Senkaku to Obama besides cyber attack.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

China should stop the BS and not worry about the Senkaku Islands etc..better to worry to treat their OWN millions and millions of people with respect and dignity or soon there will not be a country called CHINA and they will end up breaking up like the Balkans etc...

It is about time JAPAN showed its teeth!

When a poodle shows its teeth it's harmless. But only depends to who the poodle shows its teeth as it might become dangerous for himself...

Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera, who has previously stressed “Dawn Blitz” was not aimed at China,

yeeeah, right. iknowwhatyoudidthere...

So what? Do you seriously think that 1000 of Japanese troopers would regain Northern Terriries by force ? :-))))

//drill based on the U.S. mainland. Why not Hawaii?

Return SOVEREIGNTY to the Ryukyu Islands and let them work with China - they work well with everyone.
