the prize money just ain't enough to sustain a living... maybe he has realized that there are just more worthy causes in life than to overstuff one's belly. It certainly can't be healthy to do this.

That sucks!

Well, I won't be watching this year.

Truth be told, he has nothing to prove, he's the best at it. Chestnut is nowhere near his level IMO. He has to win three in a row to tie and four in a row to beat him, and honestly, I don't see him doing it.

He was negotiating to get 500 dollars per hot dog they were only willing to pay 100 is my guess. Like it or not (and I don't) but this has become an eye-grabbing story since its inception. One paid for by the sponsor....a hot dog maker no doubt....or Heinz ketchup etc.

That was really stupid for him to get arrested. Luckily ,he had an interpreter with him. Now he faces charges of resisting arrest.
