I felt it here (I live in the middle of Ibaraki). It wasn't from side to side, but an up/down tremor, quite intense. I thought the epicenter was closest than ever before, but it didn't get make things fall from shelves.

Pretty big here too, in Shinagawa. Flat was swaying nicely for about 15-20 seconds. Dont they say Gunma quakes are usually a pre-cursor of something bigger in Tokyo? This one tonight was at least the third reasonable sizeable one I have felt this week.

Well, I was sitting on a train, swaying side to side anyway, and pretty much distracted by a young lady wearing what might be the last long boots of the season. Didn't feel a quake, but I'd have liked to make the earth move.

I was just starting a class when it hit. I was on the 5th floor in Omiya, Saitama. I thought the building got hit by a truck, even thought I heard a bang, but then after the initial bump, it kept shaking and I realized it was an earthquake. thought I was on a train myself... my student freaked out more than me. Its a rare opportunity for me to feel big quakes. Fortunately, it was just distracting without real damage.

Oh, there was a quake? At this time I was in my car riding home from work. Seems the cars suspension is good.

First time I've been in a supermarket during a quake and had stuff falling off the shelves. Nothing heavy, just lightweight things like bags of crisps and sticks of kanten flying gracefully through the air. It felt stronger than a shindo 3.
