I was at an event once, strong wind hit, and the tents went flying up complete with metal poles there were holding them, the poles came crashing down to the ground, luckily no one was hit.
This article is unclear as to how the guy died, it just says wind knocked down a tent, man dies, people hurt. Well how did he die, or how were the others hurt?
Killed by a tent? As accidents go, that is pretty unusual. Unlucky guy
like conqueror said, you should have seen the scene, huge heavy bars
in a big heap, scary.
badge: a logical man would think, hmm, a tent got knocked down..a man died...hm, the impact of the tent must have killed him. Again, a LOGICAL man would think that...
"The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued warnings of heavy rain, flooding and tornadoes in the prefecture, a local weather observatory said."
Some14some... I agree !!! When exactly were these warnings issued ? I didn't hear anything about "tornado" warnings !!! WTF, first 100 earthquakes a day and now I gotta worry about living in "tornado alley" !!!

Rather than the tent itself, the lead or cast iron dead-weights used to secure the tent were deadly.
The TV just said that the tent was using a total of 300kgs of dead-weights.

i.e. after the damage was done? or it 'had' issued warnings and were ignored as usual?
