Man jumps out of car to death on Kanagawa highway
YOKOHAMA —
The driver of a car traveling along the Yokohama Yokosuka highway called police on Tuesday night to report that a passenger in his car had jumped out while they were driving along.
According to investigators, the passenger, identified as 23-year-old Yokosuka resident Haruki Ishizaki, was hit by a number of vehicles and was already dead when found by police. Two other men, both Ishizaki’s coworkers, were riding in the car at the time of the tragedy. The driver told police that Ishizaki suddenly opened the door and jumped out of the back seat.

I hope the cops are going to do a little bit more investigating than this. Throwing yourself out of a car is an odd way to off yourself. At the very least I hope the J coppers at least consider the circumstances surrounding this horrible event with taking the "co workers" statements at face value.
I certainly hope there weren't any kids that witnessed this horrific event.

HOpefully they were near some of the cameras monitoring traffic conditions and some light can be exposed on this death. BTW, do those cameras actully work?

Strange method of suicide, a bizarre accident, drunken play gone awry or attempted murder? Really hard to say. Hope they make the effort to find out the truth.
'hit by a number of vehicles'? --you would think that the first car to hit him would stop and that others cars would have to drive around or stop too.

All these drivers are ****of course**** guilty of vehicular manslaughter and must be tracked down. Wonder how they will divide the penalty then.
P.S.:@Mods:The buttons for function 'Bold' and 'Italic' are switched (at least in Opera). Meaning --> when I want bold, I have to click Italic and vice versa. This is the case since long time (years?) and I wonder if it was addressed before.

holly sh*t... Just imagine driving at more than 100 km/h and some crazy guy jumps out of some random car in front of you... I drive A LOT in Japan and this is one of those nightmare scenarios...
