The body of a man was found beside the train tracks at Kozaki Station in Wakayama City on Friday. His left leg had been severed below the knee, NTV reported Saturday.

According to police, a conductor on a train arriving at Kozaki Station at 5:50 on Friday morning spotted the man's body lying near the tracks. Police found the man's left foot nearby and said it looked like it might have been severed by a train.

The man, who has not yet been identified, appeared to be between his late 20s and early 40s, police said.

Officials believe the man may have been hit by a train late the night before.

Another tuna to surprise the railroad employee. Must have been frightening. Did he fall onto the tracks or did someone place him there. The police will do a complete job on this one to find out.

The man... appeared to be between his late 20s and early 40s, police said.

Hang on, he's got a leg off, not his head. Can't they be a bit more precise than that?
