Merlin negotiating with Nagoya to build LEGOLAND
TOKYO —
Theme park operator Merlin Entertainments is negotiating with Nagoya City to build a LEGOLAND theme park there. The plastic building block maker wants to build LEGOLAND at Kinjo Futo near Nagoya port, according to a report in the Sankei Shimbun.
The LEGOLAND theme parks are operated worldwide by Merlin Entertainments in five locations—Billund, Denmark; Windsor, England; Günzburg, Germany; Carlsbad, California; and Winter Haven, Florida. If LEGOLAND is established in Nagoya, it will be the company’s first Asian theme park.
The 60-hectare Kinjo Futo is the site of the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park museum.

Love the toy, but a theme park? No thanks.

If it'll be anything like San Diego it's nothing but a giant daycare for the kindergarteners, a boring expensive outing for the parents.

What would be cool is a LEGO park made from recycled pieces, or pieces acquired from previously used LEGO.
