Suzuki has already assured free repairs and/or replacement so i dont think govt probe is necessary. Moreover, for fatalities, Suzuki will be sued by concerned partys.

I hear their 500cc models have been causing a few problems.

they make great motorcycles. Of course if I keep riding them I'll probably need one of their wheelchairs. I wonder if they wheelie?

Seriously, I wonder how you have a fatal in a wheelchair? Anybody found more detail on the accidents? My lack of serious Japanese reading ability is showing....

No license requirement, driven by a bunch of "Out of my way" Oya-ji's and Oni-baba's, in the dark, on the wrong side of the road, with no lights....and think they have the right of way over a 25 ton loaded dumptruck. That's how you have a fatal. Seen it happen twice. Menaces. Keep them OFF the roads.

bceause they are not wheelchairs, they are mobility scooters! quite a big difference between the two. I have noticed JT frequently mislabling items in news stories - caused by poor translations??

mobilty scooter are the ones that look like regular motor scooters but with 4 wheels, an arm chair seat and are electric not 50cc.

Japan is a bad place for them, narrow roads, no footpaths and bloody minded old people using them, just today I saw an old woman hogging a busy narrow road with one - a disaster in waiting.
