"This is miserable. He just ran away without finishing his job.’’

With all due respects, Fukuda's job wasn't just to deal with abduction issue.

Fukuda wasn't big on the abduction issue anyway, they should be pleased that Aso will make a song and dance about it.

To all those who have family members who ran away and want to blame it on the abduction issue: not to worry... Aso has proven himself to be hateful of anything foreign, and he will use all of his power to pursue the issue. Mind you, he's just as likely to blame the disappearances on his fear of China than of the actual NK issue.

while I would hope that the abduction issue would eventually be resolved it really shouldn't be the only issue of NK / Japan relations. At the same time I expect Aso will make it so and we'll have another set of problems with NK nukes.
