I'll surprised if they can get out of the city limits...if I recall the last missle test fell apart midflight.

Spotted through the binoculars!
One guy holding the rocket and another, in a ridiculously tall-brimmed cap about to light the blue touch paper.
Everybody, "DUCK!"

if at first you fail...

Get your hard hats ready ... 'cause you never know where those North Korean duds will come raining down ...

wackness: "The annual cry for attention."
Except that IF the report is true (and don't forget, this is the same media that claimed a rocket was launched an entire day before it actually was!) it would be the second launch this year. My guess is you're partly correct in that it's a cry for attention in a way, but I wager it's more an attempt to overcome the embarrassment of the last attempt.

Does anyone else think that the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang is actually a rocket in disguise?
whiskeysour
What are they using to make their rockets ? Legos ?

Right, here's the keywords in the title 'Japanese media'. Would this happen to be the same bought and paid for media that fails to criticise Ishihara and his ilk.
Funny timing hey, not long before the Japanese general election. Let's see if this propaganda helps people swing to the right.

So...um...why doesn't the spokesman comment?

"media that fails to criticise Ishihara and his ilk."
You should read more, there are plenty of articles that criticize Ishihara.

The only timing is surely the hurry to clear the egg off our Dear Leader's face.
The last rocket/missile fizzled out and dropped into the sea, and from then till now is about the amount of time it has taken to re-educate everyone and to roll out a fail-safe replacement, I guess.

Will this one make it out of North Korea this time I wonder..
Guza!
Is this another so called satalite?
Piotr Gierszewski
Maybe North Korea was observing the recent situation in Israel and wants to show everybody that "we have our rocket too!" That's quite silly.

When is someone going to Castrate the North Korean Pres. and send him on a one way ticket to the moon..This guy is a total LUNATIC.

N.Korea is crying out for attention. All these disputes among neighbours are making them uneasy.

JonathanJo/ I disagree. It may be the shape of a rocket but nothing inside to say it is. Its shaped more like a spaceship if anything else. Here is a link http://ryugyonghotel.com/inside.html
